Best Food at Epcot®
Table Service: Bistro de Paris (Epcot® Pavilion: France)
French cuisine at the France Pavilion. Dinner only.
Upstairs from Chefs de France is a charming belle époque dining room with an air of exclusivity that feels dressed up even if you are not. Gilded mirrors, white linen tablecloths, crimson banquettes, and billowy white drapes framing windows overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon provide the perfect setting for delicious French accents and luscious dishes prepared simply in tantalizing sauces. Favorites include Maine lobster poached with green pea gnocchis and fava beans, or a rack of lamb served with a thin onion tart with rosemary and eggplant caviar gratin. After dinner a dessert of crepe suzette prepared and flamed tableside or the perfect apple tarte with calvados while lingering over cordials and coffee is definitely my idea of a nightcap.
Cara's Tip: Request a window table (most are for two) to receive a nice view of the lagoon.
Best Known For:
Epcot's most sophisticated restaurant.
Sample Menu Items:
Dinner entrees: Salmon roasted in a dill crust with lemon beurre blanc; roasted duck breast with polenta galette, artichoke bottom, and mushroom fricassee; pork tenderloin stuffed with mushrooms, pasta gratin with truffles, forestiere sauce; grilled beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce.
Quick Service: Tangierine Cafe (Epcot® Pavilion: Morocco)
Excellent counter-service cafe featuring shawarma sandwiches and platters with marinated, rotisserie-roasted sliced chicken and lamb. A tangy meatball platter is my favorite choice, but vegetarians will enjoy the falafel wrap or a vegetarian plate with couscous, hummus, and tabbouleh. If you're craving something sweet the bakery will satisfy with choices like baklava and fresh. Casablanca beer, tangerine daiquiris, mimosas, or Moroccan wine are also offered.
