The Luxury Guide to Walt Disney World® Resort
Cara Goldsbury has always had a strong affinity for the Walt Disney World® Resort. Like so many people around the world she is allured by the magic of this one-of-a-kind destination. As a travel consultant and one-time travel agency owner, she has made numerous visits to the Walt Disney World® Resort. With her daughter as her travel companion, she took trip after trip, each time staying at a different resort, dining at new restaurants and enjoying uncharted attractions and entertainment.
After 30 visits, it dawned on her that she had enough knowledge and personal experience to write a Walt Disney World® Resort guide book. As she began thinking about content for the book and how she might organize it she realized that what she personally enjoyed most about her visits to the Walt Disney World® Resort were the luxury experiences.
She found that friends and acquaintances were shocked when she shared with them the details of the luxurious suites that she had stayed in, gourmet cuisine that she had enjoyed and exclusive backstage tours that she had been on. Most people didn’t perceive Walt Disney World® Resort as a destination that catered to those desiring a luxury vacation experience.
It quickly became clear to Cara that rather than write a regular guide book she needed to instead write a luxury guide book. And so she did. The first edition of her book was published in 2006, and it received very favorable praise.
Just a few years later, the book is now in its second edition with the third edition out Fall of 2010. Cara recognizes that in order to provide her clients with the best possible travel guidance and recommendations there is no substitution for firsthand experience of the parks, resorts, entertainment and dining. She makes it a point to spend 7-8 weeks out of each year visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort so that she stays completely knowledgeable of any changes and new additions.
